Engine No. 211 dead On Marshall Pass, February 21-24, 1899. Marshall Pass, elevation 10,842 ft., in between Salida and Gunnison, Colorado. This was part of Denver & Rio Grande's narrow gauge from Denver to Salt Lake City, 1881-1955.

Ramond M. "Hap" Fletcher plowing snow after a slide at Belden in the winter. Fletcher was a heavy equipment operator for the New Jersey Zinc Co. The vehicle was tracked for better performance in the heavy snow in the Eagle Canyon near Belden.

The Tobias and Marie Montoya house on Water St., Red Cliff, Colorado, in February 2008...a good snow year. Mr. Montoya worked for New Jersey Zinc Co. as a miner. Their son, Ramon, is the current mayor of Red Cliff [2010].
