Marrison Artibine Ingrum, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Wm. Ingrum, was born in Gilman, Colorado March 9, 1891 and passed away in the Veteran's Hospital in Grand Junction January 11, 1953 following a long illness. He attended school in Gilman, later working in the mines there. In 1917 he entered the army serving with the heavy artillery and was gassed in the Battle of Argonne, from which he never fully recovered. With his brother, Cliff, he moved to New Castle five years ago seeking a lower climate. He was a member of the American Legion Post 104 of New Castle. Pallbeares were Louis Jessen, Albert Nelson, Elmer Neelson, John Baldauf, Oscar Nelson, and Emmett Nottingham. The VFW Post 8309 and American Legion Post 47 formed an Honor Guard and Legion had charge of graveside service and firing squad.
