Edward David James, 39, died in St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction Aug- 5. following an operation a week before. Funeral sendees were in Martin's Chapel, Grand Junction on Aug. 8 and he was buried: in Veterans Cemetery there. The deceased was bom March 22, 1914 at Edwards, to Dave and M!ary Roberts James and he lived at Edwards until he moved to the Junction 26 years ago. He was married to Betty Griffin Sept- 1, 1946. He served from 1942 to 1946 with a hospital unit in the South Pacific and was a member of Western Slope Post No. 3981, VFW, which conducted military rites at the gravesideSurvivors are his wife and three children, David Melton, Joanne Marie and Donna Ruth: nine sisters; Mrs Ray Unselt. Mrs. Harry I Carter of Leadville and Mrs Howard Bardsley of Wolcott; and an aunt, Mrs. Della Falls of Seattle, WashMr James was employed as a junior repairman at the steam plant of Public Service C~ in Grand Junction at the time of his death.
