ALFRED MANN KILLED IN PLANE CRASH.

Lt. Alfred S. Mann, son of Al Mann now living in Glenwood, and a graduate of Red Cliff high school, was killed in a plane crash at Ashland, Miss., last Sunday, Nov. 18. Lt. Mann was a navigator on the plane, and the fight taken which resulted in tragedy was a “routine” —they all seem to be killed in "routine flights”—flight. He, together with the others in the crash, were mark'ng time before discharge, after having come through the war. Young Mann, during his youth spent in Red Cliff, was a most popular young man and his unnecessary death is a sorrow to scores of friends on Battle Mountain. Funeral services will be hold at Glenwood Springs Sunday afternoon, Nov. 25. Pall bearers will be former school mates and companions who have served in the war, but now home.
