MRS. JOE BUSH DIED IN GLENWOOD WEDNESDAY.
The community was shocked Wednesday morning when word came of the death of Mrs. Joe BUSH in Porter's Hospital in Glenwood Springs early that morning.
Mr. and Mrs. BUSH, who had lived for many years at Edwards where they owned the ranch now belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Paul SCHULTZ, sold out about three years ago and moved to Denver.
Mrs. BUSH had been ill during the past few weeks, and recently came from Denver to enter Porter's Hospital where she underwent a major operation.
Death came Wednesday morning at 4 o'clock.
Funeral services will be conducted by Burdge Mortuary and will be in St. Stephens Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs Monday morning at 9 o'clock and burial will be in Rosebud cemetery in that city.

ELIZABETH BUSH.
Elizabeth Tibitha MAXSON was born April 29, 1895 to Orlenzer and Alice MAXSON at Leadville, Colorado, and moved with her parents to Gypsum when she was a small child.
At Gypsum she was married to Beldon Hiram (Joe) BUSH and later the couple moved to Edwards, where they took up ranching, moving from there four years ago to Denver to make their home when they retired from farming.
Mrs. BUSH was a staunch member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a tireless worker in Post 150 Unit at Gypsum, during her residence in Eagle county. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Gypsum and was of the Catholic faith. During the time she lived in Edwards she took an active part in club and community affairs, and enjoyed a large circle of friends throughout the county.
Three weeks ago she became ill and was taken to Glenwood Springs to be placed under the care of a doctor. Mrs. BUSH passed away early the morning of May 14 in the Porter Hospital in Glenwood and services were held Monday, May 19 from St. Stephens Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs by Father C. E. KESSLER and burial was in Rosebud cemetery in that city under the direction of Burdge Mortuary.
Mrs. BUSH is survived by her husband and five children; Mrs. Mat DALEY, British Columbia, Canada; Mrs. Lee ELLIOTT, Canby, Ore.; Mrs. Ervin TERRY, Edwards; Bill BUSH, Kalispel, Mont. and Carl BUSH, Henderson.
Also surviving are four sisters and three brothers; Laura BALATY, Colorado Springs; Ethel MILLER, Martha RUSSELL, Edna PHILLIPS, Leonard MAXSON all of Los Angeles, Calif.; Les MAXSON of Henderson, Colo. and Wallace MAXSON of Yakima, Wash., and 16 grandchildren.
Her parents preceded her in death.
