Nellie L. Mosher of Fruita passed away Dec. 17, 2001, at Family Health West Nursing Home in Fruita. She was 103.
Nellie was a homemaker. For many years she was a cook at the Rhone School on 20 Road.
She was born Nov. 18, 1898, to George Lockhart and Laura Stephenson Lockhart in Topeka, Kan. She moved in 1903 to Clark by covered wagon. She lived in Clark until moving to Fruita in 1947. April 27, 1920, she married Charles Philip Mosher. He died in March of 1965. She was a member of the Fruita Silver Bell Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by three sons, Walt Mosher and wife Maureen of Grand Junction; Floyd Mosher and wife Nita of Fruita and Herb Mosher and wife Jean of Alamosa; two sisters-in-law, Irene Mosher of Fruita and Alice Mosher of Lake El Sonora, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 15 great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two sons, Bob and Howard Mosher; two daughters, Laura Thomas and Elsie Monk; two brothers, Bruce and George Lockhart; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A visitation was at 7 p.m. Dec. 20 at the McLean Funeral Home Chapel in Fruita. A funeral service was at 10 a.m. Dec. 21, at the McLean Chapel with Pastor Roger Cooper officiating. Internment was at the New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita.
