Services for Mrs. Neva Carlson early day resident of Eagle County were held Thursday at Farnum Chapel in Glenwood. Mrs. Carlson's son, Rev. Loyal C. Carlson of Loveland, officiated. Burial was in the Rosebud Cemetery. Friends may contribute to the building fun of Valley View Hospital in her memory. Mrs. Carlson was the widow of A.F. Carlson, former Treasurer of Eagle County. They lived in Red Cliff and Eagle for many years and in Basalt, where they operated a general store. She was born Mar. 16, 1878 in North Carolina. Survivors include three sons, Adolph of Basalt, Dwight of Ft. Collins and Loyal of Loveland; two daughters: Emma Cramp, Glenwood Springs and Cheridale Smulling of Denver; 16 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Boyd.
