Robert A. Collins, Minturn business man, native born citizen of Eagle county, died at a hospital in Pueblo Sacredness afternoon where he had been confined by illness for some time. Mr. Collin shad been in very poor health for some years. he had been treated in several hospitals during his illness but has gradually been growing worse, no treatment having been discovered by the best of physicians that could cure him.

"Bob" Collins was born in Red Cliff and has lived his entire life in the county. He was associated with Frank V. Burbank in the mercantile business for a number of years, and a few years ago purchased the drug store at Minturn of G.D. Roberts. Shortly after going in to this venture his health begin to fail, and he has been under treatment and in hospitals most of the time since. Of an attractive personality, Bob had many friends and his death is learned of with sadness by hundreds of residents in this county.

Word was received on Wednesday evening of the death of Robert A. Collins in Pueblo. "Bob," as he was known to everyone, was an old-time resident of Eagle county. He grew to manhood in Red Cliff, here attended school and later worked for the J. W. Dowd store, and at the mine. Several years ago he moved his family to Minturn where he has since been in the mercantile business. He has been identified with every movement for the betterment of the community, was active in the Masonic lodge, church and school affairs.
"Bob" was born in Red Cliff forty-six years ago, and has lived his entire life in the county. He was associated with F. V. Burbank in the mercantile business for a number of years, and a few years ago purchased the drug store at Minturn of G. D. Roberts.
