Robert K. Clock of Eagle passed away at Heritage Park Care Center late Sunday evening, Feb. 6. He was 80.

Born August 4, 1930 in Niulii, Hawaii, he was son of Juanita Yrizarry and George Newcomb Sr. of Royal Hawaiian lineage, buried in the Royal Cemetery in Honolulu. Bob was raised by stepfather Thomas Clock Mills from a young age.

A plumber for most of his life, Bob worked for Parker Ranch near Waimea as a blacksmith and plumber and for Yamada Sheet Metal Company in Hilo, Hawaii. As a teenager, he assisted in managing the United Service Organizations Inc. (USO) on the big island for the United States Government during World War II. In 1972, Bob moved to Colorado. Here he continued his career as a plumber working with several construction companies and started a small plumbing and maintenance service in Eagle called Town and Country Maintenance.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, George Newcomb Jr. and Sue; Tandy Newcomb; Paul Newcomb and Violet; Earl Newcomb; Marie (Newcomb) Spencer and Walter; John Mills; Abraham Mills; Annie (Mills) Viera; Jennie (Mills) Aiona and Peter; and William Mills.

He is survived by his wife Judith Ann Clock and his children, Benjamin Cody Clock of Littleton and Oliver Thomas Clock of Atascadero, Calif.; Robert K. Newcomb Jr. of Hilo, Hawaii; Liane H. Newcomb of Rancho Palos Verde, Calif.; and Bernadette K. Newcomb of Jamestown, N.C.

He is also survived by sisters Agnes (Mills) Yap and Joe Pepeekeo, Hawaii; Gladys (Mills) Chock, Waimea, Hawaii; Norah (Mills) Williams and Jame of San Diego, Calif; and Odetta (Mills) Price and Jim of Nogales, Ariz. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Charlotte Newcomb and Anna Mills, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Bob will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26 at the United Methodist Church of Eagle Valley in Eagle. Flowers, especially flowering plants for the yard, are welcome or a memorial contribution may be made to the United Methodist Church of Eagle Valley in honor of Bob.
