P. K. BARTHELL BURIED IN GLENWOOD SPRINGS.
Peter Kaster BARTHELL, prominent Carbondale man, died Friday, and funeral services were held in Glenwood Tuesday with burial in the Glenwood cemetery.
Mr. BARTHELL was born July 5, 1876 at Stratford, Ont., Canada, and came to Colorado when he was six years old. A real estate dealer and commission man, Mr. BARTHELL lived for a time in Gypsum. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War, having enlisted in Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders at Prescott, Ariz. in 1898.
He was married to Susan Doll at Gypsum June 4, 1905.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Sam G. of Los Alamos, N. Mex., three daughters: Rachel WOOD of Rifle; Eva HEINTZE and Eleanor AMENT both of Denver and a sister, Margaret KOONTZE of Puente, Calif. A sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy GERARD lives at Gypsum.
