Daphna Ethelen BARZ of De Beque died Nov. 18 in Grand Junction after a long illness. She was 74.
Mrs. BARZ was a retired sales clerk for Eagle Pharmacy, where she worked from 1960 to 1975.
She was born Aug. 3, 1914, in Canon City to James Hamilton Cook and Jennie Allie ISABELL COOK. She spent her childhood in Canon City and attended schools in Colorado.
Mrs. BARZ married Ralph G. Huff in 1932. They were later divorced. Later she married Max BARZ. They also were later divorced.
From 1940 to 1960, she lived in the Denver area She moved to Eagle in 1960 and to De Beque in 1976. For the past four months she had lived in Grand Junction.
She was interested in farming, fishing and ranching. Mrs. BARZ was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Parachute.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Elmer HUFF of Grand Junction, and Lawrence Allen HUFF of Denver; two brothers, Earl ISABELL of Oregon and James T. ISABELL of Denver; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Alma Jean HUFF, is deceased.
Funeral services were Nov. 20. Burial was at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver.
