Grand Junction Daily Sentinel - February 14, 2010

Barbara Bertsche passed suddenly
on February 10th at her
home in Grand Junction, CO.
She was born to Walter and Norah
Wright of Cincinnati, Ohio on
May 17, 1926.
Barb loved the piano and after
high school attended the Conservatory
of Music in the Cincinnati
area. Her love of classical music
stayed with her throughout her life.
Barbara was one who could light up a room. She had a smile on her
face every day.
Her humor, warmth and fun spirit were contagious. She was an
animal lover to the 'nth' degree. Barb moved from Ohio to Colorado
in 1977 after a vacation there with friends sealed the deal. She fell in
love with it. She was hooked on the mountains and the snowfall,
skiing, hiking, biking, the people and life in general. She owned an
import shop in Vail, then went to work for Vail Resorts where she
stayed for many years. Though she moved from her home in Ohio,
she never said good-bye. She took family and friends with her in her
heart and stayed in touch with all of them. Barb's favorite hobbies
were skiing, oil painting and playing games with best friends and
family.
Barb is preceded in death by parents; sister, Patricia; son, John, and
son-in-law, Stan.
She is survived by her sister, Peg Emerson of Ft. Myers, FL;
