Carl (Mike) Anderson will be Buried in Gypsum
Carl Anderson, former Gypsum man, was apparent victim of a heart attack Monday. He was found dead by his wife at their Denver home.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Gypsum Lutheran Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Gypsum.
Mike Anderson was educated in Gypsum, and became well known in this section of Western Colorado because of his musical ability. His orchestra furnished the music for many dances in the mid-thirties.
Since leaving Eagle County, he and his wife Adelia lived at 1020 Lincoln, Denver.

Carl G. (Mike) Anderson was born in Gypsum Mar. 24, 1909 to Gus and Emma Anderson. He grew to manhood in Gypsum, graduating from Eagle County High in 1926.
He was a member of the Gypsum Lutheran Church, joining in 1924; an IOOF Lodge member, joining in Gypsum, and later transferring to Basalt Lodge.
Following his graduation from high school, he attended Denver University. For a time he was employed as a salesman for Koonce Chevrolet in Eagle and operated a grocery store in Red Cliff.
In 1938, he was married to Miss Adelia Berthoud of Basalt. For a time, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson operated a ranch west of Basalt, then moved to Glenwood, where they bought a home and rental cabins.
Ten years ago they moved to Denver, where they resided at the time of Mrs. Anderson's death on April 4.
Funeral services were conducted in Gypsum April 9 by the Reverend O. Q. Richards of Glenwood. Interment was in the Gypsum cemetery beside his parents, and his sister, Elvira Ferguson.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Adelia; one brother, Oscar, of Gypsum; five sisters: Lillian Anderson, Ruth Frazier, Georgia Lewis and Elma Anderson, all of Gypsum and Thelma Wilson of Gypsum.
Basalt IOOF Lodge conducted graveside services, assisted by the Gypsum Lodge.
Out of town relatives here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Bardsley, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Proctor, Mrs. Mildred Maples and Glen Lewis all of Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ferguson of Georgetown, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Anderson of Riverton, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Berthoud, Louie Berthoud of Glenwood and Bill Ferguson of Reno, Nev.
