Clint Anderson Died in Arizona May 15
C. S. (Clint) Anderson, former Eagle County rancher, died May 15 in Phoenix, Ariz. He had been ill with cancer for two years.
Mr. Anderson ranched in this county at Avon, Brush Creek and Gypsum Creek, coming to Eagle County in 1901. He was married to the former Ocie Hart of Brush Creek and in 1928 they moved to Phoenix.
In Arizona, Mr. Anderson established and owned several ranches, raising lettuce and cotton.
He was elected to the Arizona House of Representatives, was a member of Maricopa Water Board, and of the Salt River Valley Power Co., besides serving on various other boards. He was active in Shrine activities, particularly in the establishment of Shrine hospitals for children.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Ocie; a son, Oliver and two daughters, Jean and Joan. A brother, Arthur, also survies.
Burial was in Phoenix May 18. Attending the funeral from Colorado were Mrs. Anderson's sister, Mrs. George (Charlotte) Hammerick and husband and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dice of Glenwood; Mrs. John Clark of Eagle; Mr. and Mrs. Fran Byers of Denver, who were joined in Phoenix by their daughter, Mrs. Doyt (Frances) Dudley and husband of Tucson.
