Lillian Anderson Buried In Gypsum
Mrs. Lillian Anderson, 64, a resident of Gypsum for 53 years, died in Valley View Hospital, Glenwood Springs, February 26, 1962, following an illness of several weeks.
Mrs. Anderson was born Lillian Christine in Leadville, Colo., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Anderson. When she was a child, she moved with her family to Gypsum. She was married to John Anderson on Dec. 31, 1920 and the couple continued to make their home at Gypsum.
Mrs. Anderson was a popular and active member of the community, and a member of the Lutheran Church and Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Joyce) Walcher; a brother, Oscar; and four sisters, Miss Elma Anderson, Mrs. Georgia Lewis, Mrs. Ruth Frazier and Mrs. Thelma Wilson; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial were in Gypsum March 2, conducted by Reverend Clay Moorhead and the Burdge Mortuary of Glenwood.
