Mrs. Albert Anderson Dies
Death called another long time resident of the valley when Mrs. Stella Jackson Hayes Anderson passed away at the home of her daughter in Gypsum on Dec. 17.
Mrs. Anderson, apparently in good health, was stricken with a heart attack last Friday, which proved fatal, and she passed away quietly at the home of Mrs. Hans Oleson, Jr.
Born in Ava, Mo., May 26, 1877, Mrs. Anderson had been a resident of Garfield and Eagle counties for the past 47 years. Rev. J. W. Bartrug of Eagle held funeral services from the Gypsum Methodist Community Church Monday, and interment was in the Cedar Hill cemetery at Gypsum.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Anderson; four daughters--Mrs. Hans Oleson, Jr., Gypsum; Mrs. Fred Oleson, grand Junction; Mrs. Ethel Jeffries and Mrs. Ralph Pitman of Silt; three sons--William Hayes, Wolcott; Arthur Hayes, Avon; and Clyde Hayes, Eagle. Also surviving are several grandchildren and other relatives.
