Stephen Michael Anderson, 61, passed away Sept 6, 2007 at his home in Glenwood Springs.
He was born Nov. 16, 1945 in Denver to Luther and Edna Mae Anderson. No one knew him as Stephen-- all his life he went by the nickname of Sam.
Stephen served in the Navy during the Vietnam era. He was a master carpenter and worked in Aspen for many years. He liked to fish and play his guitar. He was loved by his family and his many friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by son, S.M. (Bo) Anderson; stepchildren Kenny and Lana; brothers Pat and Randy; grandchild Joey; sister Mary Anderson; stepmother Mary A. Anderson; and niece Flyne Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother Doug; and sister Barbara.
Visitation will take place Tues Sept 11 at the Farnum-Holt Chapel in Glenwood Springs. A graveside service will be held Wed Sept 12 at the Fairview Cemetery in Basalt.
