Accident Injuries Fatal to Gypsum Lady
Mrs. Elva Angel, 72 [?], of Gypsum, died in Valley View Hospital in Glenwood late Wednesday afternoon of injuries received two days previous in a car accident west of New Castle.
Mrs. Angel was riding with her husband Paul, 41 [?], when the car went off a county road two miles west of New Castle. The car rounded a sharp left curve, traveled 81 feet then went off the bank, rolling twice. Mr. Angel was thrown from the car but was uninjured.
Mrs. Angel had a broken arm, fractured ribs and chest contusions according to Rifle Patrolman Squires who covered the accident. She was taken to the Glenwood hospital where she died July 19.
