Gregory Bo Archibeque died Sunday night in Gypsum.
He will always be remembered for his contagious laugh and quirky faces. He was born March 9, 1988, in Grand Junction to Angela Torrez and Tom Archibeque.
Bo grew up in Gypsum and graduated from Eagle Valley High School in 2006. He was a member of the wrestling, baseball and lacrosse teams.
In his youth, he developed a love of the outdoors. With his dad, he climbed many of Colorado's 14,000-foot peaks during many camping and fishing trips. As an outdoorsman, he excelled as an archery hunter. He harvested his first deer when he was 15 and over the years he bagged numerous other big game species.
Other interests included video games, sharing music with his brother D.J. and hanging out with his friends and very close cousins Gabrielle and Sami Jo.
Bo was a life member of the Mule Deer Foundation and the Colorado Bow Association.
Bo was a gentle soul and a loyal friend who will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by uncles Billy and Randy Torrez and a cousin, Miles May.
He is survived by his parents, Angela (Ben) Medina and Tom (Angel) Archibeque; and siblings D.J. Medina, John “Bud” Sisson and Xanadu Sisson. He also is survived by grandparents Lillian Torrez, Silviano Torrez, Ignacio and Oralia Archibeque; step-grand parents Frank and Connie Medina; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bald Eagle Wrestling Club, P.O. Box 1083, Gypsum, Colo. 81637.
A celebration of life will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Gypsum Creek Middle School.
