Salomon F. Arellano died Sunday in Grand Junction after a short illness.
Arellano was born to Euginio Rosalia Arellano on Dec. 3, 1923, in Chamisal, N.M.
A World War II veteran, he is survived by: his wife, Maria P. Arellano; sons Frank F. Arellano (Laura) of Lakewood, Joe B. Arellano of Minturn, Albert Arellano of Rifle and Eugene Arellano of Clifton; and daughter Rosemarie Sandoval (Andy) of Gypsum.
Surviving brothers and sisters include Benita Cruz of Minturn; Euginio Arellano of Chamisal; Gertrude Medina of Grants, N.M.; Refugio Sandoval of Ogden, Utah; Severo Arellano of Peñasco, N.M.; and Susie Medina of Gypsum.
He is preceded in death by his son Salomon E. Arellano, who died in 1977, and a brother, Nelson Arellano.
There will be a viewing Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Callahan-Ealfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson, in Grand Junction.
Memorial services are 11 a.m. Thursday, at Pear Park Baptist Church, 3102 E Road, in Clifton. Burial with military honors will follow at the Veterans' Cemetery in Grand Junction.
