Florence Louise Arens of Glenwood Springs died March 6. She was 92
She was born April 13, 1917, in Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her son, Thomas, and is survived by daughters Mary D'Ambrosio (Jim) of Roseville, Calif., and Suzanne Gordon of Eagle.
Florence was a loving grandmother to Robert Scanlan (Elisa) of San Diego, Glenn Arens (Gael) of Eagle, Brian Arens (Julie) of Chicago and Clebe Gordon of Eagle. She also had three great-grandchildren. She also will be missed by her daughter-in-law, Linda Arens of Chicago.
Florence enjoyed gardening, reading, working crossword puzzles, playing cards, and visiting with her many friends at the Golden Eagle Senior Center.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, followed by a 2 p.m. Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eagle. Burial will be in Chicago.
Florence had a deep love and compassion for animals and has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her memory to the ASPCA.

Florence Louise Arens, born April 13, 1917, in Chicago, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 6 in Glenwood Springs at the age of 92.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and son Thomas.
She is survived by daughters Mary D'Ambrosio (Jim) of Roseville, Calif., and Suzanne Gordon, of Eagle.
