Sister Dies in Ohio Following Long Illness
Mrs. Bessie Arnold, sister to Mrs. John Van Horn of Eagle and John Burris of Gypsum passed away at her home in Columbus, Ohio, Nov. 5, following a long illness.
Mrs. Arnold is a former Gypsum lady, living there from 1912 to 1916, when her husband, H. C. Arnold was electrician for the Schumm Light and Power Company. There are many among the older residents of the valley who remember the Arnolds, who have for the past number of years made their home in Columbus. Mr. Arnold preceded his wife in death.
Funeral services were conducted by the Eastern Star and the Rev. Stanley Jefferies of the Third Avenue Methodist church, Columbus, on Monday, Nov. 8. She is also survived by another sister, Stella Mize, of Columbus, and two daughters, Mrs. Helen Ruth and Mary Arnold of Columbus.
Mrs. Van Horn returned in October from a visit with her sister.
