Thank you for Remembering...

Chloe L. Colby
1912-1991

Chloe is like a caterpillar, set free like a butterfly. It seems so fitting that her time to blossom would come in the spring, her favorite time of the year; when flowers and leaves are budding, and seeds are sprouting. And I'll bet, there's no other place she'd rather be than fluttering from garden to flowerbed, adding beauty and giving more life and love to all of God's glory and to all of those so special to her.

A special thanks to everyone for helping us through the illness and passing of our mother and grandmother. Knowing so many family, relatives and friends care, has made her life with us very special.

Love, Al, Annie Stacia & Shawn Colby

'Butterflies are Free'

Times go to the wayside,
and times go by--
Yet, memories linger forward
like a cool breeze, and the sun in the sky.

A person's life can be like a caterpillar
going here...going there
making subtle differences every where it
has been...

And then,
as it is older, and wiser,...just keep
growing,
and glowing brighter--until, one day
it gathers it thoughts, shares its memories,
and sets forth to begin a new life,
bursting free again;
with radiance, and color,
and a brand new set of wings...to share
with us...one another.

The wings of a butterfly;
light, and carefree--
a renewed spirit unselfishly sharing
beauty with every petal, every flower.
...sometimes basking in the rays of
sunshine
...sometimes being that ray of sun--in
our life, in our day.
One thing is for sure:
Butterflies....are...free.
