Former Hayden resident Arnold C. Eudy died peacefully at his home Sept. 27, 2006, after a lengthy illness. He was 90.
On Aug. 26, 1916, Arnold was born to Joseph Frank and Phoebe (Smith) Eudy in Kohler, Mo. He spent his childhood in Hayden. He also lived in Alaska, Oregon and Wyoming.
He lived in Delta the past 38 years.
Arnold was stationed at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, during World War II.
On June 1, 1958, Arnold married S. Arlette Fox in Delta. Arnold was a carpenter for many years. He was one of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Delta. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved working with wood and was an artist. He was happiest spending time with his wife of 48 years.
Those grateful to have shared in Arnold's life include his loving wife, Arlette of Delta; two brothers, Bill Eudy of Sutherland, Ore., and Jack Eudy of Tillamuck, Ore.; three sisters, Norma Davis of Montrose, Mickey Cavender of Albany, Ore., and Pearl Turner of Tulsa, Okla.; numerous nieces and nephews; and Judy Turner and Rick Eudy.
Arnold was preceded in death by a brother, Murle Eudy.
A memorial service is at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 16, 2006, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Delta. Allen Spallinger will preside.
