AMMI HOYT SERVICES HELD
Funeral services for Ammi H. HOYT were held Monday at the First Methodist Church in Gypsum. The Rev. David O. FERGUSON officiated.
Mr. HOYT, a resident of Gypsum, was born June 14, 1898 at Radium, Colo. He died Feb.20 in Grand Junction.
He spent his early years in the Radium and McCoy areas. He married Nannie CARR on Feb. 1st, 1925. The later years of his life were spent in the Eagle and Gypsum area as a rancher, and he worked for the Eagle County Highway Department. He retired in 1973.
Mr. HOYT was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nannie HOYT, of Gypsum; a son Royce HOYT of Clifton, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Margie GATES of Burns, Colo.; a brother, Ralph HOYT, of Grand Junction, Colo.; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one niece and two nephews.
Burial was at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypsum.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today for Ammi H. HOYT, 77, of Gypsum. Rev. David O. FERGUSON officiated at the funeral held in the First Methodist Church. Burial was in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
HOYT was born June 14, 1898, in Radium and died Feb.20, 1976, in Grand Junction.
He spent his early years in the Radium-McCoy area. He moved to the Eagle-Gypsum area, where he was a rancher and worked for the Eagle County Highway Department. He retired in 1973.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers. Survivors include his widow; one son, Royce HOYT of Clifton; one daughter, Margie GATES of Burns; on brother of Grand Junction; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchild [sic]; one niece and two nephews.
