Ken Jenkins died Monday in Grand Junction with his family by his side. He was 59.Jenkins was born Aug. 5, 1947, in Leadville, to John and Louise (Guennon) Jenkins. He attended school in Grand Junction and graduated in 1966 from Grand Junction High School.He married Shannon Fulbright on July 22, 1973. They moved to New Castle and started J & C Plumbing in 1974.He loved fishing, camping, golfing and bowling, family members said. He is survived by his wife of 33 years; daughters Teresa (Joaquin) Bianco, Rhea (Robert) Sprague, and Alison Jenkins; grandchildren Alexandria, Brittan and Christian Bianco, and Brycen Sprague; brothers Frank Dugan (Linda) Propernick, Eldon (Jean) Jenkins, Donald (Nicci) Jenkins; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Anne Louise Satterfield.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 2754 Compass Drive, Suite 377, Grand Junction, CO 81506.’A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kathryn Senor Elementary School in New Castle.
