Minturn Man Died Following Fall at Mine
Arthur C- Royal. 31-year old Mintum man died Wednesday morning of pneumonia, which developed following his fall down a shaft in the Empire Zinc mine at Gilman Saturday nightAccording to information received here, Mr Roybal apparently lost his balance while working in a slope at the mine, as miner’s helper, and fell 70 feet, before a pile of muck broke the fall. He struck his head on the pile of muck, and lay there better than 45 minutes, as fellow-work-ers, struggled to move the muck in order to move Mr- Royal out of the shaft and to the hosptial He was taken to the Gilman hospital, where it was found that he suffered a spinal injury. Early Wednesday morning he developed pneumonia, and died within a short timeMr- Royal is survived by his wife, Erma of Mintum. The couple have lived in Mintum since September, 1949. Bowman Funeral Chapel of Eagle was in charge of funeral arrangements-. Funeral services will be Saturday morning in the Mintum Presbyterian church at Jl a- m-, and burial will be at De Deque-
