Sophia Ryden Died In Denver Hosptal

Mrs, Sophia Ryden, mother of Mrs Sigurd Bobson of Gypsum, died in a Denver hospital Monday, February 11, 1903 at the age of S 3 years. Sophia Gustafson was born in Finland December 3 ( 1579 and came to Gypsum, Colorado at the age of 11 years. She was married to Charles Rjyden in Glenwood. For a number of years Mr. and Mrs. Ryden lived in Gypsum Valley. For the past 43 years, Mrs. Rlyden lived in New Castle. Her husband died in 1933. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Glenwood Springs, the New Castle Extension Club and Elk Creek Grange Farm Bureau. Mrs. Ryden is survived by her children: Marvin, Rifle; William New Castle, Fred, Denver; Ted, New Castle; Edwin, Denver; Mrs. Sigurd (Anna) Bobson ( Gypsum: Mrs. Leo (Mayme) Johnson, Denver; Mrs. Prank (Helen) Hiniman, Leadville; Mrs. Kenneth (Irene) Sa.uressig, New Castle. A sou, Arthur, died in 195-3. Also surviving are a brother Win. Gustafson of Denver; a halfbrother, Andew Gustafson, Krammling; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-great-grandchidren and 3 great-great-grandchild ren. The Reverend G. L. Oldsen will conduct funeral services in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, in Glenwood Friday, February 15 at 2 o'clock. Fornum Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
