HEART ATTACK FATAL TO MRS. JAKE STEIN.
Mrs. Jacob N. STEIN, 79, of 529 Road 28 1/4, Grand Junction died suddenly Monday night at her home. She apparently suffered a heart attack. She was dead on arrival at Mesa Memorial Hospital at 7:20, where she was taken by a rescue squad.
Lead BEARDSLEY was born at Elmira, New York, February 22, 1884, and spent her early life there. In 1914 she came to Eagle County to teach the primary class in the Gypsum grade school. On April 6, 1918, she was married to Jacob N. STEIN of Gypsum, at Leadville.
The Steins made their home in Gypsum, rearing their family there, and moved a few years ago because of health reasons. They first went to Grand Junction, then to Glenwood Springs. About two years ago they moved back to Grand Junction to be near their son.
Mrs. STEIN is survived by her husband; a son, Romaine of Grand Junction and a daughter, Mrs. Homer (Helen) HOLT of Glendora, Calif., and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Edward, and will be buried at his side in Gypsum Friday afternoon.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Gypsum Methodist Church Friday at 2 o'clock by Rev. L. C. COOK of Glenwood.
Pall bearers will be: Elmer LUNDGREN, Edmund BOBSON, Wm. STANLEY, Duane SKIFF, Fred DAVENPORT and Gene SLAUGHTER.
