LORENZO D. TATUM DIED IN GRAND JUNCTION SEPT 30.
Lorenzo D. Tatum, long time resident of the Basalt community died in the Millsap Convalescent Home in Grand Junction, Sept. 30th at the age of 85, and services were held in Grand Junction on Oct. 2. Mr. Tatum was born Dec- 6, 1867 in Missouri and spent his childhood in Missouri, moving to Colorado when he was 18. Four years ago Mr. Tatum moved to Grand Junction because of his failing healthSurviving are two sisters, Mrs Nannie Stacy, Calbool, Mo. and Mrs. Fanny Mount, Basalt and a niece, Mrs- Chris Hyrup of Basalt HLs wife, Nellie Scovall Tatum, three children and a grandson preceded him in death, the grand son being killed in action in World Warr II-
