Eagle Valley Enterprise - March 29, 1962

SERVICES FOR ROBERT TREZISE.
Funeral services for Bob TREZISE, Eagle resident, were held last Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Eagle. Graveside services were in charge of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 215 of Glenwood Springs. Interment was in Sunset View Cemetery.
Organ music for the church services was supplied by his son, Robert. Pall bearers were Walter WILSON, Ernest ROWE, Ray FULBRIGHT, John VERDIECK, Joe BLANCO, Sr., and Floyd SIMPSON.
Mr. TREZISE had been found dead in his room at a Glenwood Motel Thursday, March 22. The motel owner investigated after Mr. TREZISE had not been seen for 24 hours and found the body. Death was caused by a gunshot wound in the head.

ROBERT TREZISE
On July 12, 1905, Bob TREZISE was born to Flora and John TREZISE in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He attended elementary and high school at Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, and Grand Junction, Colorado. He graduated from Grand Junction HS in 1924. He married Melissa Ann [sic Anna] LARSON [sic LARSEN] on June 6, 1934 at Eagle,Colorado. To this union were born two children, Bob Jr., and Mary Jo. During 1943-45 he served in the U.S. Navy Seabees in the Philippine Islands where he helped build the Manicani Naval Base, the only naval base which the U.S. retained after granting the Philippines Independence. In 1945 he returned to Eagle and plied his carpentry trade until his death. To mourn his passing are his wife, Melissa; two children, Bob Jr., and Mary Jo GERARD; six cousins including Glen Alden HAFF of Glenwood Springs, Mrs. Lula SMITH of Grand Junction, Mrs. Nellie SWAIN, Mrs.Neva OGDEN and George HENDRICKSON of Roseville, California; and Mrs.Rose JENSEN of Nyssa, Oregon. Other immediate family members include his wife's parents, Mr.and Mrs. Hans LARSON [sic LARSEN]; Mr. and Mrs. Duane LARSON [sic LARSEN], his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, and a son-in-law, Claude GERARD of Gypsum.
Mr. TREZISE was a member of the Community Methodist Church in Eagle, also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles number 215 of Glenwood Springs.
Services were held at the Methodist Church in Eagle. Music was provided by his son, Bob at the organ. Graveside service was conducted by F.O.E. 215. Interment was held in Sunset View Cemetery in Eagle. Pallbearers were members of F.O.E.: Walter WILSON, Ray FULBRIGHT, Joe BLANCO Sr., Ernie ROWE, John VERDIECK, and Floyd SIMPSON.
