Laban W. "Ted" Estes, 61, died suddenly at his home in Grand Junction, August 25, the victim of a heart attack.

Mr. Estes was engaged in ranching and the operation of a filling station in Gypsum for many years and moved to Grand Junction in 1955. He worked there in real estate and automobile sales. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Elks Lodge. Mr. Estes was born Nov. 1, 1909 at Edna, Kansas. Among the survivors are his song, Ronald Estes of Gypsum; and his widow of Grand Junction.
