ANOTHER PIONEER BUSINESS MAN PASSES AWA 1
In the death of Adam Urban , 64 , at his home in Grand Junction last Monday , another of the pioneer business men of Battle Mountain has passed on . Mr . Urban came to Gilman from Alsace-Lorraine , where Ls was born In 1871 , in the latter 80 s where he joined a brother and uncle who had preceded him to the United States . He was in business in Gilman for many years , until a destructive fire wiped his business out , when he moved to Red Cliff . He remained in business there until 1933 when failing health compelled him to retire , anu he moved to Grand Junction , where his family had preceded him a few years previously . Adam Urban was a good man , a conscientious citizen , and devoted tc his family . He is survived by his widow , Mrs . Hattie Urban , and two daughters , Mrs . Thelma Scott , of Grand Junction and Mrs . Tyra Stone , living in Denver , and three grand children . Funeral services were held in Rea Cliff yesterday afternoon at 2 : 00 oc 1 ork , the Meyer Mortuary having charge of the arrangements , and Rev . T . B . McDivitt delivering the funera ยป discourse . The body was laid to rest in Eevergrecn cemetery In Red Cliff . o
