Nancy E. Vasquez died Friday at Presbyterian St. Lukes Hospital in Denver. She was 62.She was born on Feb. 23, 1945, in Dixon, N.M. Nancy was married to Patrick Vasquez for 47 years. Together they raised four children.She was devoted to her family. Nothing was more important than being a wonderful mother and wife.Patrick and Nancy had recently moved to Grand Junction.She was preceded in death by her parents, Saturnino & Eloisa (Pacheco) Sanchez, and a sister, Evelyn Sanchez.She is survived by her husband, Patrick, of Grand Junction; children Patsy (Larry Chavez) Vasquez, of Hawthorne, Calif., David (Kellie) Vasquez, of Clifton, Colo., Leroy (Melissa Sanchez) Vasquez, of Minturn, and Kathy (Rick) Atencio, of Minturn; sister Rosie (Gilbert) Trujillo, of Palmdale, Calif.; brothers Albert (Chris) Sanchez, of Grand Junction, and Edward (Rumi) Sanchez, of Grand Junction; grandchildren; Trisha, Jessica, Trista, Michael, Ashley, Brandon, Alec, Alyssa and Jordon; great granddaughter Myia; and many other relatives.The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m., both at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Minturn.The Reverend Hugh Guentner will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jason Trujillo, Michael Atencio, Brandon Chavez, Gilbert Vasquez, Abel Vasquez and Jeremy Goins.Burial will be at Riverwiew Cemetery in Minturn.
