Dolly Esther Webb, 95, a longtime resident of Eagle, died Aug. 6 at the Glen Valley Nursing Home in Glenwood Springs.
Mrs. Webb was born the daughter of Christopher and Belle Hansen Duncan in Aspen on Feb. 6, 1887. The family left Aspen when she was two-years-old. They lived in Grand Junction until she was 11. They then went to Glenwood where she graduated from high school in 1906.
She taught at Marble, then married Walter Webb in 1907. They lived in various places on the Western Slope before homesteading on Bellyache Mountain from 1914 - 1926. They moved to Eagle in 1926 and she lived here until 1978 when she moved to the Glen Valley Home.
Mrs. Webb was a member of the Eagle Eastern Star chapter for over 40 years. She received her 25-year pin and served as past matron.
Survivors include son Donald of Eagle,six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were Monday morning at the Eagle Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Goodier officiating. Burial was at Sunset Cemetery.
Contributions can be made to the Glen Valley Nursing Home activities fund. Farnum-Richardson Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
