WIFE OF EAGLE COUNTY MAN KILLED BY AUTO
Mrs. Clara Wellington, wife of C.A. Wellington, formerly of Edwards, was struck by an automobile driven by Joe Kramer, Jr. one day last week and instantly killed. The accident occurred on the highway in the Fruitvale district in Mesa county near Grand Junction.
Mrs. Wellington's parents had come to visit her prior to their removal from the neighborhood and she had bade them goodby at the car parked in front of her home. She was returning to the house and passed behind her parents' car, and as she stepped into the road was struck by Kramer's car which was passing.
The body was taken to Rifle for burial Monday, which was Mrs. Wellington's former home. She is survived by the husband and three small children.
