Eagle Valley Enterprise page 1 - April 11, 1968

Services were held Monday at St. Martin's Chapel in Denver for Hume S. WHITE, of Eagle, who died in Denver April 5th.
Mr. WHITE was a retired attorney, and prominent in county affairs. He served a partial term as district judge, being appointed to fill a vacancy, and served many years as county attorney, until is retirement.
He was son of early day county residents, his mother having homesteaded a ranch on Brush Creek, now owned by Eagle Ranch Co.
Mr. WHITE attended William Jewel Academy in Missouri, and graduated from the Denver University Law School. He served as a state representative in the General Assembly in the middle 1920s. He was a member of the board of the Colorado River Water Conservation District for many years; served as a member of the first Fryingpan-Arkansas Policy and Review committee in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He was prominent in Democratic Party circles throughout the state.
Mr. White moved to Denver two years ago to live with his son, George.
Death came last Friday at a Denver hospital.
Besides his son,he is also survived by two grandchildren.
