Anna Norman DICE.
Anna Norman was born to Mr. and Mrs. Al NORMAN, at Burns, Colorado on January 1, 1901, and passed away in the Glenwood Hospital in Glenwood Springs July 27, 1949.
A daughter of prominent cattle ranchers in Early day Eagle county, Miss Norman received a part of her grad school education in Eagle, and attended high school in Boulder.
On November 20, 1926, she was married to Cyrus DICE, young Brush creek rancher, and the couple made their home on the original Harve Dice ranch on West Brush, until they bought the Warren Hart place in lower Brush valley, where they have resided since.
Mrs. Dice became ill in the spring and was a patient in the Glenwood Hospital and Clinic, with the exception of short intervals.
She took a lead in rural club work and was active in community affairs.
Funeral service was held in the Catholic Church in Glenwood Saturday, July 30, with Father KESSLER having the memorial service. Interment was in Glenwood.
Pall bearers were Will SCHLUTTER, Hans LARSEN, Alec MACDONELL, Frank NEWCOMER< Glen HUBBELL, and Curtis HIGHT. Wm. H. FARNUM, mortician and old friend of the family, had charge of the funeral.
Among relatives present at the funeral ere a nephew, Joe DICE of Nevada, Mo., John McCOY, Mrs. Bea CRUTCHER and Bill CRUTCHER Of Glenwood and her close surviving relatives, who include the husband; four sisters Ida SCHLEGEL of McCOY, Iva HART of Delta, Josephine EVANS of Denver and Viola BOORE of Eagle, and one brother, Hugh NORMAN of Toponas. Her stepmother, Mrs. Hannah NORMAN. A stepsister, Mrs. Ruby SHARVER and a stepbrother, Hobbs CAVIN reside in Eagle and a stepbrother, A. D. CAVIN who came from Salt Lake City.
