Lola Arlene CHAMBERS, formerly of Eagle, died July 31. She was 90 [sic 89].
Lola was born Nov.18,1920, in Hotchkiss and graduated from Hotchkiss High School in 1938. She married Glen CHAMBERS at age 17 and they raised their family in Eagle. Mr. CHAMBERS passed away in 1995.
The CHAMBERS were blessed with two children, son Melvin (Skip) and daughter Glenna. She is also survived by two sisters, Olive DeANGELES and Elsie LANUE, and her brother Ernest PENFIELD. Lola was also blessed with five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren,four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lola is best remembered for her service to her church and community and her participation in Eastern Star. She was a gifted seamstress with an expertise in tailoring and alterations. She was loved for her quick mind and her acceptance of all people.
Services were held Aug. 4 at Paonia United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
