JIM BRETT DIED IN ARIZONA.
Funeral services for the late James BRETT will be held at the Edwards Community House Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Mr. BRETT died Tuesday morning at the home of his son, Joe, in Maricopa, less than a week after arriving in Arizona for a winter vacation.
Mr. and Mrs. BRETT went to Denver before the holidays. He became ill there and entered a hospital for treatment of peneumonia. Before leaving the hospital, he also had surgery for removal of a lump on his neck and had made a good recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. BRETT left Denver for Arizona to visit their son, Joe last week, and word received at Edwards Monday was that Mr. BRETT was feeling quite well. Death came quietly during the night, and apparently followed a heart attack.
He is survived by his wife Leona Terry BRETT, and three sons, Joe of Maricopa, Vernon of Seattle and Earl of Denver. A sister, Louise BRETT, preceded him in death a few years ago.
Mr. BRETT, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph BRETT, was born and reared in Eagle County on the Brett home place west of Edwards, familiarly known to pioneer settlers as the Frenchman's Place.
