Mary Jean King, 45, of Broomfield, died April 1.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday at Cornerstone Church, 1190 South Lashley Lane, Boulder. A graveside service will be held in Ft. Worth, TX.

Mary was born June 20, 1965, to Clifford J. and Emogene R. (Beardsley) King in Mexico City. She attended the American School in Mexico City, and received her Bachelor of Arts from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mary was a strategic account officer with TDK of North America for 11 years. She was a bilingual ski instructor for Golden Peak Kids at Vail Mountain for one season.

Mary enjoyed skiing, hiking and running. She loved the outdoors and was happiest with her friends, family and loved ones. Mary was a beautiful, caring and giving woman. She conducted herself always with professionalism, true fairness and grace. Her love of family and friends will be sorely missed. We have lost a true lady.

Survivors include her partner, Christopher D. Barr, of Broomfield; sisters Gwen Dishinger, of Fort Worth, Diana Oliveira, of Fort Worth, and Lynette (Lindsey) Birdsong, of Tyler, Texas; nephew, Antonio Oliveira IV, of Fort Worth; and nieces Nichole Birdsong and Erin Birdsong, of Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Humane Society of the donor's choice.

M. P. Murphy and Associates Funeral Directors of Boulder is in charge of arrangements.
