Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2542
G Road. Services will be at 10
a.m. Monday at the church.
Burial will be in Norwood.
Survivors include one son,
Gary Paul of Egnar, three
daughters, Fonda LoBach
of Fruita, Marilynn Todd of
Lewis and Sharon Williams of
Las Vegas; two brothers, Roy
Garner of Hotchkiss and Doug

Born in McPhee, CO to Golman
Millard Garner and Mary Hazel
(Hammond) Garner. She was sister
to Eloise, Roy, and Doug
Garner.
Mildred graduated President and Valedictorian from Dove Creek
Union High School, May 1946. Shortly after high school, she was
hired as a teacher and taught in a small one-room school in Egnar,
CO. She married Jesse Paul Williams, February 3, 1947, and is the
mother of Fonda (Rodd) LoBach, Marilynn (Kyle) Todd, Gary
(Darlene) Williams, and Sharon Williams.
In the spring of 1956, she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints in Naturita, CO. She moved to Grand Junction in
January 1966, where she went to college before becoming employed
by the Grand Junction Regional Center where she worked as
a Developmental Disability Tech 3 until her retirement in 1987.
Since retirement, she enjoyed her church work, her children, 11
grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, genealogy, playing pinochle
with her senior friends and family. She was a breast cancer survivor
since January 1994, and was preceded in death by her daughter,
Evelyn, her father and mother.
Mildred will always be remembered for her elegance and grace and
her deep concern for all those she loved, and for her love of the
United States of America. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday
at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary and 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel, 2542 G Rd., Grand Junction,
CO.
Services will be 10 a.m. on Monday at the Church. Interment will
be at Norwood Cemetery, Norwood, CO at 3:00 p.m.
