Mrs. Christine A. (Nelms) Brownlee- Goglin, age 67, of Grand
Junction, passed away July 28, 2010 with family by her side at Hospice
& Palliative Center. A graveside service will be held Friday,
August 6th, at 11:00 a.m. at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens,
Rev. Robert Babcox will officiate. A reception will be held at the
Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1674 Hwy 50 Grand Junction, to be announced.
Born August 2, 1942, in Grand Junction, Colorado, Christine was
the daughter of Joe and Bettie Nelms of Grand Junction. She was an
active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles area #595.She enjoyed
bowling, gardening, her dogs and cats, and she was a collector
of Teddy Bears. She married her former spouse Elmer Eugene
Brownlee of California, May 20, 1959. She was remarried to William
H. Goglin of California, November 16, 1989. She was preceded
in death by her father Joe B. Nelms of Grand Junction, sister,
Sherry Lynn Hinecke of Grand Junction, daughter Twana Sue
Brownlee- Barnes of California and a sister-in-law Jeannie L.
Mudge-Nelms of Grand Junction.
Survived by, her mother Bettie Florence Thomas-Nelms of Grand
Junction, former spouse Elmer Eugene Brownlee of California, husband
William H. Goglin of California, life partner Vern Stevens of
Grand Junction, two brothers John J. Nelms of Grand Junction and
Lloyd S. (Denise) Nelms of Arizona, her daughter Sherry Ann
(Kenneth) Brownlee-Montgomery and 2 sons, Leon Eugene (Nancy)
Brownlee and RickyLee (Gloria) Brownlee of California, 11 grandchildren
and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to several nieces,
nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice
& Palliative Care at 3090 North 12th Street, Unit B, Grand
Junction, CO 81506.
Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction,
CO 81505, is in charge of arrangements.
