Valarie R. Blea passed away
peacefully at her home on Friday,
August 6, 2010. She was 49 years
old.
Valarie was born on January 18,
1961 to Joe and Rose (Valdez)
Blea in Salt Lake City, UT. She
grew up in the Salt Lake City
area, graduating from Granite
High School. She married William
Swaim in 2000 in Grand Junction. She enjoyed being a Dental
Lab Technician and a home maker. She was a member of St. Ann’s
Catholic Church in Salt Lake City, UT. Valarie enjoyed cooking,
entertaining, music, dancing, and nature. She appreciated the small
things in life and lived life to its fullest. She will be missed by her
loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, William Swaim of Grand Junction;
her mother, Rose Blea of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter, Danielle
Morrison of Salt Lake City, brother, Chris Blea of Salt Lake City,
and sister, Filomeno Tucker of Sacramento, CA. She was preceded
in death by her grandmother, Elisa Arguello; her father, Joe Blea
and her brother, Richard Blea.
Services will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at
A House for His Name. Bobby Clement will officiate. Burial will
take place at Memorial Gardens.
Callahan-Edfast Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of
Western Colorado.
