SERVICES HELD FOR MARIE WARREN.
Funeral services for Mrs. Christina Marie WARREN, 76, of Redcliff were held Sunday at Redcliff Presbyterian Church. The Rev. John HANSEN officiated and burial was at the Greenwood Cemetery in Redcliff.
Mrs. WARREN died Jan. 28th at the Vail Medical Center.
She was born Christina Marie COLLINS on June 7, 1898 in Redcliff. She went to school in that town, and on Oct. 28, 1917, she married Ray E. WARREN. Mr. WARREN died on April 22, 1946.
Mrs. WARREN worked as a Postal Clerk in Redcliff from 1946 to 1959. She worked for many years for the Eagle Valley Enterprise, reporting news of the Redcliff community.
Survivors include six sons, Ray Jr. of Denver, Everitt and Bob of Redcliff, Stuart of Longview, Wash., Gordon of Helena, Montana, and David of Los Alamos, New Mexico; three daughters, Mrs. Lottie RUDER of Minturn, Mrs. Ella BURNETT of Minturn and Mrs. Lavinia HENKE of Petersburg, Alaska; and three brothers, James COLLINS of Greeley, Bill COLLINS of Denver, and Pat COLLINS of Minturn. Other survivors include 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. WARREN was a member of Eagle Chapter 86 of the Eastern Star, the Neighbors of Woodcraft Kinikinick Circle 453, and of the Presbyterian Church.
Pall bearers were Jack ELLIOT, Charles COBY, Howard MOORE, Jim FERNANDEZ, Alan ALBERT and Buster BECK. Mrs. Warren's six sons were honorary pall bearers.
Organist Bob TREZISE played the musical selections "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" at the services.
