MRS. FRANK McAVOY DIES.
We are in receipt of the news of the death of Mrs. Alice McAVOY at her home in Pueblo, Colo., on December 15, 1939. Mrs. McAVOY was one of the pioneers of Eagle county, she and her husband having been residents of Red Cliff for nearly forty years before moving to Pueblo some ten or twelve years ago.
The McAvoy estate still owns property in this county, the ranch, formerly known as the half-way station in the stage days of Fulford, later owned by Herman Erickson, at the forks of Brush creek.
Mrs. McAVOY was a fine lady, and a great many friends here among the earlier residents of the county will be sorry to learn of her death.
