Estela M. Lopez, age 85, longtime
resident of Palisade and
Grand Junction, passed away on
March 14th in Westminster, CO.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Alex. She is survived
by son, Anthony (JoAnn)
Lopez and daughter, Terrie
(Randy) Swank. Estela was
g r a n d m o t h e r o f f i v e a n d
great-grandmother of two.
Mrs. Lopez retired after teaching for 33 years in Denver and southern
Colorado school districts. After moving to Palisade in 1978, she
was a substitute teacher for many years in the Grand Junction area.
She was a member of the local Moose, VFW, Stephen Ministries,
Friendship Force, Senior Olympics and numerous other organizations.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 10th at 10:00 a.m.
at Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita, Colorado.
