Marilynne was born in Dillon, Colorado to Guy and Laura Herwick.
She married Harold "Hoot" Cox on January 31, 1942. They
had three children, Harold Jr., Patricia, and Ronald.
Marilynne and Harold lived in Summit County for many years and
in their retirement years they moved to the western slope where they
lived in Grand Junction and Cedaredge, Colorado. Marilynne had
been in a nursing home in Montros,e Colorado since the death of
Harold in 2006.
She is preceded in death by husband, Harold Sr.; son, Harold Jr.,
and recently by son, Ronald of Montrose. Survivors include a
daughter, Patricia Kier of Castle Rock, Colorado; a sister, Jeannine
Etcheverry of San Pedro, California and a daughter-in-law, Coleen
Cox of Montrose, Colorado. Marilynne has six grandchildren and 15
great grandchildren. There will be a grave side memorial sometime
later in the summer at Dillon Cemetery.
