Robert Calvin Lesley, age 68,
passed away on June 13, 2010 at
St. Mary's Hospital.
Robert was born to Joseph and
Mary Lesley on July 17, 1941 in
LaFayette, IN. He attended East
Tipp High School and later attended
the San Diego University
in San Diego, CA, where he received
his Bachelors Degree in
Accounting.
Robert met and married Elaine Williams on April 15, 1973 in San
Diego, CA and in 1978 they made the decision to move to the Grand
Valley and make it their home.
Robert was a very loving father and husband. He enjoyed motorcycles,
NASCAR racing, his remote control airplanes and football.
The joy of his life was spending time with his grandchildren and
family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Calvin and
Mary Lesley and his sister, Marjorie Grimes. He is survived by his
wife of 37 years, Elaine Marie Lesley; his first wife, Carol Ann Lesley,
and his second wife, Linda Lesley; his sons, Robert (Marjorie)
Lesley of LaFayette, IN; Christopher (Nicole) Lesley of Grand
Junction, CO; Jeremiah Lesley of Grand Junction, CO; his daughters,
Juli Lesley of Steeleville, IL; Mary (Christopher) Pickens of
Grand Junction, CO; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A celebration of Robert's life will take place on Saturday, June 26,
2010 at the St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 3888 27 1/2 Road,
Grand Junction, CO at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has
requested that donations be made to the American Heart Association
or the American Lung Association. Funeral arrangements have
been entrusted to Mesa Funeral Service.
