Erwin Bachrach, a former Vail Valley resident and member of the 10th Mountain Division, died at his home in Aurora Sunday. He was 86.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Bachrach.

He is survived by his daughters, Karin Simon and Joan Heinen; grandchildren Laurie Mannion and Mark and Scott Simon; and great-grandson Zachary Mannion.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, at Ft. Logan, Staging Center C. Contributions can be made to the Salvation Army or any charity of choice.
